Volleyball at the Rec

As CASH's second to last event this year we will be meeting outside the Recreation Center for some beach volleyball. Bring your sandals and dress comfortably enough to shake that sand out of your pants after an epic fail at a spike.

We're going to host this event a little earlier so we can preserve light and warmth - be there at 6:00PM SHARP!

CASH Members Respond to Inflammatory Propaganda

Earlier this week, Coffman Memorial Union was visited by a tasteless and misleading pro-forced-pregnancy travelling propaganda display. CASH members Christopher Howe and Hannah Heidt had letters in Thursday's Minnesota Daily, where they exposed the inconsistent reasoning behind the display's message, and asked the obvious question: "Where were the free condoms and information about birth control? If abortion is as pandemic as genocide (like in Darfur for instance) shouldn't a practical, even-handed and effective method of preventing the issue be the priority?"

CASH Board Elections

Election Day for CASH Officials! Choose the next leaders of CASH. The Board is responsible for planning events, funding them, getting our message out, and most of all serving YOU as a dedicated CASH-ite! Your input on the Board makeup is critical to the future of our organization.

The Board is made up of 5 individuals: the Activities Director, Finance Director, Publicity Director, Public Relations Director and Administrative Director. These people will appoint it’s advisory board, and other committees. After the election, the new Board will take over the leadership of CASH for the 2008-2009 school year.

New Executive Board!

Congratulations to CASH's 2008-2009 executive board! In a not-so-contested election, five awesome CASHies stepped up to leadership positions. They are:

Activities Director: Jeff Campbell

Administrative Director: Ryan Schmidt

Advertising Director: Hannah Heidt

Finance Director: Kalyn Williams

Public Relations Director: Lauren Hayden

Thank you to everyone who ran, and to all who came out to vote!

Decleration of Candidacy and Free Food!

CASH needs leaders for next year. A couple of the current board members (Andy, Finance Director; Will, Activities Director) are heading out of CASH and need someone to take their place. Don't feel discouraged if you would like to be the Advertising Director, Administrative Director, or Publicity Director: you can still run for these positions too and other CASH board members are willing to shuffle their responsibilities around so you can be a leader in the oldest student atheist group in the nation. being a part of CASH will give you a vote on the board and allow you to have a part in deciding which direction CASH will take in the coming year. It's a great opportunity to be involved in the atheist community and give something back. You'll have the opportunity to rub shoulders with many strong names in the atheist community and be a part of helping our numbers grow. There will be free food at this event for members, either a spaghetti dinner or pizza.
