When: Thursday, January 19th 7pm - 9pm Where: Coffman Memorial Union - Room 303 300 Washington Ave. SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 Facebook Event: http://tinyurl.com/7da8j83 We're back from the Saturnalia holidays, and what better way to start of the new semester than with your fellow heathens? At our first meeting of the semester, we will compete in small groups to design the best fake religion! After all, with so many different religions, how are we supposed to know which ones might be (however unlikely it is) valid? What makes certain religions more effective than others at recruiting members? And for the winning group, there will be prizes! Afterwards we will go out to Campus Pizza for food, drinks, and karaoke! Hope to see everyone there!

When: Thursday, December 8th 7pm - 10pm Where: Coffman Memorial Union - Room 303 300 Washington Ave. SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 Facebook Event: http://tinyurl.com/6u67jue As finals approach quickly, we wanted to give people a opportunity to get some studying done while still hanging out with their fellow CASH members. Bring your books, along with suggestions for youtube clips to watch. We're looking for videos that are both related and unrelated to CASH, so have some of your favorites in mind. We're also working on getting this year's shirts ready, so please bring a quote suggestion for the shirt! After the event we'll be going out to eat and get drinks.

When: Thursday, December 1st 7pm - 10pm Where: Coffman Memorial Union - Grand Hall 300 Washington Ave. SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 Facebook Event: http://tinyurl.com/d2z583v Described as the "Cream of the Crop" when it comes to entertainers, Banachek is the world's leading Mentalist. His talents are so incredible that he is the only mentalist ever to fool scientists into believing he possessed 'Psychic powers' but to later reveal he was fooling them. Performers around the world such as the colorful Penn & Teller, "The Amazing" James Randi and television's unique street magician David Blaine seek his performing expertise. You do not want to miss "The mind of the Man Who Fooled the Scientists, Banachek." After his show, Banachek will talk about proper skepticism through experience going under cover to expose the bad science done by parapsychologists. We're working on making this a huge event, so we need everyone's help spreading the word to make sure it's a success! Tell your friends and bring them along!
If anyone didn't get a chance to attend our debate between Dan Barker and Hamza Tzortzis about the relative rationalities of Atheism and Islam, you can now view the entire debate on youtube. A link to the video can be found by clicking "Media" above.

This week’s event will feature CASH member Krisko Isackson along with local comedians Jakey Emmert, Jerry Slater, Emilio Medina and Joshua Florhaug, promoting freethought and skepticism through a night of free comedy and gratuitous use of the F-word. Creationism, New Agers, the Bible, politicians… all will be relentlessly mocked in CASH’s first comedy event. After the event we'll head out to a local restaurant for dinner and drinks.
When: Thursday, November 10th 7pm - 9pm Where: Coffman - Room 303 300 Washington Ave. SE Minneapolis, MN 55455
We received several great suggestions for discussion topics this week, so we're going to have an open discussion in small groups. Possible topics include morality, atheism/religion in America, meaning and purpose, and any other topic you would like to discuss!
Groups will be around 7 people, so we'll be asking for veterans to volunteer as group leaders at the event.
After the event, we'll be going out to get food and drinks.
